Creative to the
Power of Production™

not so secret is an independent creative agency based in Toronto. We put senior creative and senior production at the same table from the first brief, so the idea and how it's made are decided together, never handed off.

We do three things. Properly.

Campaigns and content built for now.

From strategy to delivery. Ideas designed for traditional, AI, and hybrid production from day one.

Branding made to move.

Launches, refreshes and repositioning built to give brands momentum inside the business, and out in the world.

The bench in-house teams turn to.

Project-by-project creative and production. For in-house teams who need sharp thinking and stronger execution.

Why we exist.

Production is a creative exercise.

Most advertising doesn't set out to be unremarkable. It briefs well, tests fine, then quietly loses its way between the idea and the make. Every great idea has a best version, and it's usually not the one that ships. We started not so secret to end that.

By bringing the best creative thinking and real production instincts together from the jump, the work that wins the room is the work that gets made.

Stephanie Walker-Wells,
Co-founder & President

Steph has been producing at the sharp end of the industry for twenty years. She's shut down six-lane highways in Dubai for General Motors, wrangled locations and crew on Mission:Impossible and Star Trek Beyond, and overseen the build of ads for IKEA.

In 2024, she ranked 51st in The One Club's global creative rankings. She's also co-founder of Open Chair Toronto, a network for female and non-binary voices in the creative industry.

On AI, rights, workflows, and craft, Steph sees what's coming before most of the industry does.

Neil Walker-Wells,
Co-founder & Chief Creative Officer

Neil has built campaigns in South Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America for brands ranging from Virgin Atlantic to the NFL to CBC.

He started in fine-dining kitchens before trading one kind of heat for another. Over the last twenty years he's launched Virgin Atlantic in the Middle East, sparked debate for GoDaddy in the NBA, stepped up the NFL's fantasy game, made a world-first AI campaign for Nissan, refreshed the CBC brand, and helped save lives with Signal for Help.

He was Executive Creative Director at Juniper Park/TBWA in Toronto before leaving to build not so secret.

How we work.

You work directly with the senior people doing the work. Creative, strategy, and production, from first brief to final delivery.

No layers for the sake of layers. No handoffs that dilute the idea. No translation gap between the brief and the people making the work.

Just the right team around the right problem, project to project, or working alongside your in-house team for the long haul.
